Competitions

The armourers will assist competition organisers in the setup of equipment at all Northern Ireland Fencing Competitions. In order to improve the standard of fencing within Northern Ireland a Referee Checklist was established in 2007 to be used at all events. The full F.I.E Rules for competition can be found here. Our prime responsibility at any competition is ensuring the smooth running of the event by dealing with any piste related faults quickly. Please ensure that your personal equipment is in good working order (competition ready) BEFORE attending the event as we cannot guarantee that we will have time to look at it on the day of competition. If you require any further information about the armoury services or are interested in becoming an armourer then please contact Peter Hazlett on 07711418422.
