SUMMARY:Coach and Athlete Development Workshop
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday 14th September Dusty Miller \, Head Of Performance Coaching and Development at British Fencing and a Performance Coaching Consultant at UK Sports Institute\, will be hosting a Coach and Athlete Workshop at Shankill Leisure Centre\, 100 Shankill Rd\, Belfast \,BT13 2BD from 10am – 5pm. There is free parking at the Leisure Centre . \nThe Workshop will be focused on providing skill development for the Coaches and its practical application for the fencers attending . \nDuring the Workshop Dusty will be working with the coaches to identify best practice coaching and the fencers will be engaged in structured sparring and learning. \nThe Workshop is open to all coaches and fencers \, in all 3 weapons \, over the age of 14 years old. \nPlease bring lunch and snacks and enough fluid to last you for the day. \nSome way of recordings information from the day – pen/paper\, tablet etc- would be useful to have with you. \nWorkshop Day schedule \n10 am                    Coaches arrive \n10 -10.15             Welcome \, intros \, scene setting \n10.15-11.15       Workshop element 1 for coaches \n10.45                     Fencers arrive ready to start at 11.15 \n11.15 – 12.00     Workshop element 2 for coaches and fencers \n12.00 – 12.30     Review of 2 workshops with Dusty to pull together common themes \, issues \, challenges \n12.30 – 1.15       Lunch \n1.15 – 16.30       Workshop element 3 for fencers and coaches \n16.30 – 17.00     Review and finish \nPlease email johnnyd@nifencing.com to confirm your attendance

DESCRIPTION:All clubs should aim to have qualified referees for their competitions. This course will allow those attending to take the level one exam in refereeing. There may also be an opportunity to get the level 2 but that will depend on the instructor and time restraints.
