It is with great sadness that NI Fencing Ltd announce the passing of the long time technical director of British Fencing and founding president of England Fencing. We worked extensively with John during the 2006 Commonwealth Fencing Championships in Belfast. Although John had retired three years ago due to ill health he had served fencing in different capacities as a volunteer for over 50 years.

James Chambers – Obituary
It is with great sadness that NI Fencing Ltd announce the passing of former President of British Fencing and Northern Ireland fencer, James Chambers, after losing his battle with cancer. James was President of British Fencing from 1994 to 1999. He served as captain of the British Epee squad and on both the British Olympic Committee and FIE Publicity Commission. James was a great supporter of Northern Ireland Fencing. He regularly took part in Northern Ireland competitions and for many years represented Northern Ireland at international level.
