  • Important – New Access NI Process

    Please note that there is now a new process for Applying for an Enhanced Disclosure through Access NI in conjunction with our Umbrella Body – The Northern Ireland Sports Forum.

    All Volunteers and Coaches are required to have an Access NI Check.  If you have previously had a check you will need to renew it as soon as possible.

    As we no longer have umbrella status due to the small number of checks that we conduct it was necessary to partner with another umbrella organisation – the NISF.  However this means that there is a charge for the check as follows;

    Volunteers and Volunteer Coaches – £10

    Paid Coaches – £43

  • Funding Cuts – UK School Games (UKSG)

    We have been informed by Sport NI that due to public sector cuts they will be unable to fully fund Northern Ireland Fencings attendance at the 2015 School Games.  Sport NI are cutting their contribution by 50%.  In effect this will leave a £3500 shortfall which will need to be filled.  NI Fencing strongly supported the Commonwealth Fencing Championships in 2014 and as a result we cannot offer any financial support for the UKSG competition. Consequently,  any fencer selected will be required to make a £150 contribution towards their participation in the UKSG upon confirmation of attendance.

  • NI Commonwealth Team Manager 2014

    NI Fencing Ltd. would like an expression of interest from any candidate (+18) wishing to be considered for the role of the Northern Ireland Team Manager at the Commonwealth Fencing Championships 2014.

  • Team Staff Roles – 2014 Sainsbury’s School Games

    NI Fencing Ltd is seeking expressions of interest for the Team Staff Roles at this years School Games.

    The available roles are;

    1. Assist team manager.

    2. Escorting the team on flights, and to and from the competition.

    3. Coaching and supervising teams during the competition.

    4. Evening supervision.

    Requirements: must be member of NI Fencing, possess valid Access NI and Safeguarding Children in Sport (valid for the duration of the Games).

  • Travel Fund 2013-2014
